Alleged White House Party Crashers Plan to Plead the Fifth

A lawyer for Michaele and Tareq Salahi, who are alleged to have crashed the White House State Dinner last month, says they will plead the fifth if subpoenaed by Congress, according to a new report.

The Associated Press reports that the House Homeland Security Committee plans to vote Wednesday to subpoena the couple, and a lawyer for the couple says they will invoke their constitutional fifth amendment right to not incriminate themselves.

According to the AP, the Secret Service is undertaking a criminal investigation regarding the alleged security breach, but charges have not been referred for prosecution.
