Congress to Subpoena White House Party Crashers

The Washington D.C. couple who allegedly crashed a White House state dinner last month will reportedly be subpoenaed to testify by Congress.

The Associated Press reports that lawmakers on the House Homeland Security Committee voted to authorize subpoenas on Wednesday that would call on Tareq and Michaele Salahi to testify about how they gained access to a November 24 party at the White House.

The couple, speaking through their attorney, said Tuesday that they would plead their Fifth Amendment right and not answer any questions.
