Countdown to New Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii

In only one year, Mickey Mouse will make his presence felt in Hawaii with a new vacation wonderland.

Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai'i, is scheduled to open on August 29, 2011. The 21-acre resort, under construction adjacent to the Ko Olina beach, is said to be inspired by the stories and culture of Hawaii and promises to offer Disney fun and relaxation for the whole fam'.

Attractions include an 18,000-square-foot spa, two restaurants, Disney character breakfasts, a kids’ club (Aunty’s Beach House), a wedding lawn and a spectacularly themed pool area complete with swimming pool, wading pool, tube slides, sunset-facing hot tubs and a snorkel lagoon.
