Report: Key Evidence Possibly Destroyed in Travolta Extortion Case

New reports say key evidence may have been destroyed in the John Travolta extortion case.

As reported earlier, a man and a woman are being prosecuted in the trial for allegedly attempting to extort $25 million from the actor. The trial began last Tuesday and prosecutors are alleging that the paramedic who treated Travolta's late son Jett, 16, threatened to go public with confidential information unless the actor paid him.

The woman in the case, Pleasant Bridgewater -- who was a Bahamian senator prior to being arrested for extortion -- allegedly destroyed evidence by setting it ablaze, according to People.com.
