Sarah Palin and Betty White Go Rogue at Time 100 Gala

The Time 100 issue is hot off the press and some of its 100 Most Influential People in the World heated up the red carpet Tuesday night at the magazine's New York gala. Sarah Palin proudly talked to ET's Lawrence Zarian about her American pride and Betty White told him how she's getting ready to make everyone laugh on "Saturday Night Live."

Palin, accompanied by husband Todd and some of their children, is celebrating being on the coveted list for a second time. She said she is "representing everyday, average hard-working Americans." The politician-turned-author-turned-soon-to-be reality TV star kept her lips sealed about potential plans to run for the presidency in 2012. "We'll have a great evening this evening without being too political," she said modestly.

Another American icon, Betty White, wrote a tribute to Sandra Bullock in the annual prestigious issue. The 88-year-old will soon be living the American dream of hosting "SNL." Excited to hear former President Bill Clinton speak at the Time banquet, she said, "Tomorrow we'll have table reads, so I'll see the sketches. That's going to be fun."
