Spotlight on ‘Hollywood Heroes’

Marcia Gay Harden, Joely Fisher and 'The Twilight Saga' screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg were honored on Tuesday for their social and philanthropic contributions at Prevention magazine's first-ever "Spotlight on Hollywood Heroes: An Evening Honoring Hollywood’s Most Philanthropic Women."

"People may not realize that the largest group of women who are homeless are victims of domestic violence and they've left that situation and are trying to start a new life," said Marcia of her charity of choice, Help USA, which provides home, jobs and services for those in need. "There's a lovely synchronicity tonight with Prevention."

Joely is an ambassador for Save the Children, and she said she went to Mozambique, Africa to see the devastation of AIDS on the populace firsthand. Of Prevention's event, she said, "We're working hard and we're so proud to be part of this alliance."
