Mel Gibson’s Estranged Wife: Mel Was a Wonderful and Loving Father

Robyn Gibson, Mel Gibson's estranged wife, is reportedly standing up for the star in the wake of allegations of domestic violence made by his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva.

"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage," Robyn said in a declaration to a Los Angeles judge, according to People.com. "Mel was a wonderful and loving father."

The Oscar-winning star and his estranged wife are parents to seven children together and were married for nearly 30 years before splitting in 2009. Their divorce is ongoing.
